Day 5 of building an app in public:
I got my first renewals for my monthly subscriptions this week! It's so surreal to see that I actually created something that people are using daily, enjoying, and are willing to pay for.
I've been having trouble with context switching this week. I'm working on building out a new feature I'm really excited about, but that makes it harder for me to focus on marketing the existing, working app that people already like.
I love the process of thinking of new ideas, designing them, building them, and testing them. To me, that's more fun than marketing the app itself, so that's hard to switch between.
I'm also balancing working on art commissions and writing my first editorial piece for a news outlet, which will be about my book, Quietest Places in New York. Trying to squeeze a lot in before taking some time off before the holidays!
