Over half of Americans spend less than 5 hours in nature a week
When I read this stat, I was shocked.
It makes sense, I’m probably in the under 10 hours a week category myself.
It made me rewind my week and think about ways I can spend a little bit more time outside each day.
Some ideas I have:
-Ask to take Zoom meetings as phone calls while I walk in Prospect Park
-Get out first thing in the morning before I sit down at my desk
-Take an after dinner walk in the park
-Bike outside instead of at the gym now that it’s getting warmer out
-Sketch outside at lunch time
Would love any ideas on how other folks who work at home get outside throughout the day more!
It’s been especially difficult through this brutal winter, but now that we’re in spring, I’m hoping to get back outside more!
