2nd layer done!

I thought this was gonna be an all blue-ish/green painting, but then pinks and purples started calling to me. I try to listen to those impulses when I’m creating, whether it’s the urge to use a certain colour even if it’s unexpected, or switch to a certain brush, or writing a sentence that surprises me.

For me, so much of my creative practice is learning to listen—to my intuition, to the fragments that keep returning to me, the whispers from other worlds that manage to cut through my ego and ask to be made real.
