Heads up, cat mamas and dads!
My tiny kitty (she's about 6 lbs fully grown) gave me a bit of a heart failure at oh-dark-thirty this morning. I had dozed off, as one sometimes does, when I was awakened by a loud banging noise that I couldn't immediately identify.
Hit the lights, and there's Parkour, doing something I've never seen a cat do before in all of my years as a pet parent.
Would you all like to know what Parkour did? Of course you do.
She apparently thought that she could crawl into a small tissue box (you know, one of the small square ones), got her head stuck in it, and panicked.
Once I freed her from the offending tissue box, and gave her a cuddle and a snack, she was back to her rambunctious self.
But..note to us all..no more small square tissue boxes!
π€¦ββοΈ Of all the years I've had cats and tissue boxes, I've never had a cat get their head stuck in one before.
Cats. I'm telling you.
