I couldn’t figure out why this verse was in the middle of 29 verses that were mainly all about praising God. I went back to Psalm 110 where it says your enemies will be your footstool. It seems maybe David is praising God since chapter 110 and in the middle of 118 he says about those enemies rejecting David and his God
