Berkeley Heights Community Watch was proud to join dozens of organizations who signed a letter sent to Senate President Nicholas Scutari to stop legislation that would gut OPRA and remove the only tool residents have to hold their government accountable.

The current OPRA law protects the peoples right to demand documents from their government and was critical in our effort to inform our community about issues in our school district. This new law, if in place, would have prevented the majority of information we provided to the public over the past three years
