Chickadees

Two lovers in aerial dance,

fluttering wings and hearts,

tangoing —

      suspended —

black caps tipping,

feathers ripping,

branches flinching,

a quick rest here,

touch and go there,

mimicked choreography —

      mesmerizing!

Sudden stop —

   time for lunch.
