I looked through a bit of the degrowth literature and I found:
Blatant admission that it’s an activist project looking for research to support foregone conclusions
Citations of random degrowth-oriented journals no one outside the movement has heard of
Grandiose declarations that degrowth will reinvent a whole bunch of academic fields
Essentially no attempt to engage with mainstream research in economics, ecology, or sociology
Assumptions that past trends will continue forever
Bad data practices, such as lumping all natural resources together by weight
A mishmash of random leftist rhetoric
Lots of other silly stuff.
Folks, degrowth is pure snake oil.
