Jane, I love the first two things so much! I grew up saying prayers at bed time and eventually, as I got older and the bed time routine stopped being a thing, they fell away somewhat... More recently I've found myself coming back to the prayers, less because it's an obligation and more because I feel the calm and peace they bring me. Highly recommend night prayers before drifting off (or even to help me drift off when I'm too wired.)
The second one is so helpful too. I am prone to catastrophizing and guilting myself, and I struggle with finding that forgiveness instead of judgement. I'm going to have to try you technique out and see how it goes.
