Joy in itself is fairly abstract, so I struggled a little with this one. Usually if the idea is too difficult for me to conceptualize quickly I take my leave from that week and look at how others interpreted the prompt. This weeks prompt almost got shelved, then I realized I was overthinking it.
I captured this photo from the window of my Roomette while on a long Amtrak ride. We’d stopped at a rather small station somewhere in Virginia just after midnight. A young man was sitting on the platform waiting, and when a young woman got off they immediately embraced. They held one another close as they moved off in step, and I took this frame. They walked in tandem into the dark and our train pulled out to move onward. Everything about this was a joy to me.
