Wow! The administration finally released, today, some data on the ACA on exchange coverage losses going beyond the early open-enrollment data.
(In a prior post, normspier828307.substac… . I had indicated that non-federal sources indicated that the coverage losses were many millions, that the federal government (CMS) did not release some data on the coverage losses in a standard report where they usually release it, that it was leaked that CMS knows of the losses, and was planning a false claim that the losses were mainly due to the administration’s successful reduction of fraud.
Much of that information came to me via Charles “wunderkind” Gaba, and today he immediately detected the release of some information from CMS. And, the info is in his post:

and Charles caught that the drop, of enrollment is down to 19.2 million, with the important detail that he had to really look for, that that number is as of Feb 2026. (A lot more people can be expected to drop coverage due to the lapsed subsidies as the year goes on.)
Charles worked it out that that’s a 2.63 million drop from the 21.8 million of the same time in 2025. And Charles also worked out that the expected losses just from the 90-day grace period for non-payment kicking in would not have happened by Feb, 2026, as they expire on April 1st 2026.
