Venice Architecture Biennale

Pavilions Part 2

So following on from my last post about the finish pavilion, it’s probably worth now having a look at some of the many other pavilions in the Giadarni Area

Hungary

The Hungarian pavilion was either inspiring or distressing depending on how you viewed it. It’s focus was on what Architect can do with their skills outside of architecture.

In many cases this was because their skill set was better suited to other areas or that’s where they interestingly but in some it simply was because there was no economic future in the professional Pursuit of architecture. This hits a little bit close to home at the moment.

The exhibition showcase the range of Hungarian professionals who had been architectural trained and successfully navigated the transition across to a different or allied field and some rather inspiring but it’s such a personal journey that it’s hard to take a lot of relevant learning from this other than our skills are transferable and there is always the option to try something else. I think the message No is more is probably a reference to the rejection of the typical path.
