For some reason, I haven’t gotten as excited about LLMs as other people in tech. Maybe it’s because I’m a writer, and they produce a weird uncanny valley style of writing. Maybe it’s the hype and threats of job loss.

BUT I am incredibly excited about World Models. Having gone incredibly deep down the rabbit hole over the past few months, I agree with those who think they’re a more likely path towards general intelligence, but a general intelligence that understands the world to direct machines to do things that humans can’t.
