Started reading The Sexual Politics of Meat by Carol J. Adams because of the research I did for this piece on Julia Ducournau’s Raw (2016). Curious to see if the theory could be applied to more horror films.

because meat eating is a measure of a virile culture and individual, our society equates vegetarianism with emasculation and femininity.
