Knowing how to make a proper bolognese is something every home cook should have under their belt. This meat sauce is one of the most comforting and satisfying things you can make, yet despite the depth of flavour it delivers, the process itself is incredibly simple.
Whenever I make this, I make a very large batch. Not only does it freeze exceptionally well, but it genuinely tastes even better the next day. Having portions of homemade ragù sitting in the freezer means restaurant-quality pasta is never more than 20 minutes away.
