I’m less concerned with students coming to me with poor writing skills than with students coming to me with a lack of humility and resilience. The former I can teach in a course. The latter requires discipleship. Thankfully, Christian colleges and universities are institutions capable of holistic formation of students and can actually develop their humility and resilience over time.
