I started writing on Substack because Instagram never felt like quite the right platform to share the type of information I felt was valuable on the beauty front. I thought about how I respond to beauty-related questions from friends. They are busy and they just want to know what works. So that was my North Star one year ago. 52 volumes in, a lot of ground has been covered, from putting skincare in order to questions about whether or not eye cream is a scam, the Ozempic cottage industry, salmon sperm, beauty-inflected travel guides to Japan and Copenhagen, and more.
