Make money doing the work you believe in

This witch closed on her first home today!

In March, an inner voice whispered it was time for a change. My husband and I have rented in our beloved neighborhood for 4 years, and it’s been the most healing and community-centric years of our lives (so far).

However, my heart longed for a home of our own. Something cozy and charming with an enchanted garden.

We casually started looking, and there was a home that took our breath away. What caught my eye was a blooming Magnolia in the listing photo. I adore these ancient trees so much that I have them tattooed. It felt like a sign.

The home has character, good bones, and an established orchard and garden (quite unheard of for this small suburb). We couldn’t believe how aligned it felt but weren’t sure if the timing was right.

Two weeks went by, and the house was still on the market. I couldn’t stop thinking about it but felt unsure. Was it too soon? Were we really ready? One night, I asked my ancestors for guidance on what to do.

The next morning, I received a text from my mom. “Emily, I had a dream last night that you had a baby girl….and a house!”

A wave of emotion crashed over me, and tears streamed down my face. It was the guidance I asked for.

Two days later, we saw the house and knew it was meant to be. We put in an offer and wrote a letter to the sellers, expressing our love of the garden and how we could envision raising a family there.

Two days later, our realtor called and said there were many offers, but ours was the strongest and it was accepted!!!

We cheered and cried and celebrated with family, and it’s been a whirlwind ever since.

Today, we closed on this magical home because of the support of our ancestors and family.

I am so ready to pour love and magic into every inch of this space. We intend for our home to be a safe, welcoming space for our community to gather, to be nourished, and to experience a whole lot of joy together.
