Mainstream institutions (particularly lines of communication, media, etc.) are exceptionally Fragile. The future is with SubStack & related outlets that distribute information & devolve powers & influence away from central outlets & organizations. Those that continue said 'Old Ways' will be corrupted by Special Interests, Foreigners, Donors, Lobbyists & other 'Moneyed' Interests.

In the Meantime, 'Small' is the New Big, & I wish you, Good Sir, All the Very Best!

One problem with Substack is Stripe. Stripe is currently requiring that I provide them full access to all of my bank account records- present and historic- or they will shut off all revenue from Substack. This is over the top not acceptable, and I have taken legal action.

Why not set up a new and separate bank account just to receive Stripe payments from Substack and nothing else?

It's the principle of the thing. Stripe is showing their evil side. They need to get put back in their place. OR be gone... whatever works.

There are principles and there are workaround solutions. Tech companies will always take as much of your data as you allow.

Yep, that's true. But, I will continue to avoid supporting the ones with poor or no conservative principles. I don't believe your "workaround" bites stripe in the pocketbook like a shrinking user base will.
