30 years ago, I first learned of the Bilderberg meetings from a "fringe" newspaper (printed on paper, not some digital thing) and it left me flabbergasted. Could such a thing even be true? After all, the internet was in its infancy and had nothing to verify it. Honestly, it seemed so outlandish that I thought it was made up.
Yet here we are now, in a world of smartphones and thousands of TV channels and millions of online streams/outlets and websites of every type and description, in hundreds of languages, and yet there's still a giant hush around it. It truly boggles the mind.
