When metals and energy perform in tandem, the commodities sector tends to roar. The Bloomberg Commodity Total Return Index has already gained +12% this month, and unlike last year—when gold and silver did most of the heavy lifting—2026 has so far delivered a much broader-based advance, with agriculture the notable absentee.
