This is my favorite quote from SOUL.

Giovanni meant this as commentary on how Black men often carried the anger they felt toward their bosses in a white-dominated society back home to their families.

But it also changed the way I see myself. It made me ask myself: am I carrying my own anger home and directing it at the people I love?

They’re not the reason I’m upset and they deserve better.
