found out i live right down the street from an ICE office and the hotel nearby is currently hosting ICE agents that have been harassing our community members (i live in a very hispanic and black area). ive lived over here my whole life and now im seeing these all of these protests which ive never seen come this far out of the very liberal capital citys center (i live like right by the city limit/county line). just strange and scary that this is all happening right by all the small family owned cafes and restaurants that are immigrant/poc owned or run and simply very near and dear to me. bc while the area is very hispanic/black, the other 50% is just like redneck republicans with a tinyyy sprinkle of white liberal bc its a pretty mixed race/mixed income area. just wishibg safety for my neighbors rn :(
