I don’t know if any of y’all are also wired like this, but I can’t just watch a tv show. I have to know everything about everything.

For instance, I’m watching The Munsters now and can tell you all about how Yvonne de Carlo (Lily Munster) was a movie star in the 40s and 50s before The Munsters, being a bit stuck up, and taking a while for the rest of the cast to get used to her. And of course, they called her a diva.

Fred Gwynne (Herman Munster) and Al Lewis (Grandpa) were pals irl before the show, having been on “Car 54, Where Are You?” together. And they stayed pals for the rest of their lives.

Butch Patrick (Eddie Munster) is still alive today and luckily looked up Beverley Owen (Marilyn Munster for only the first 13 episodes) and became pals with her before she passed on. Patrick told reporters he had a crush on Owen.

Pat Priest was Marilyn Munster after Beverley left and got the job because she looked just like Beverley, so much that a lot of people didn’t know they changed actresses.

Patrick and Priest are the only ones still alive today and they’ve appeared at many conventions together.

Unfortunately when they made reunions, they asked everyone else back but Pat Priest because they wanted a young Marilyn.

A Jazz guitarist named Jack Marshall composed the theme and he wrote music for a lot of movies, but is to this day best known for the Munsters theme.
