A lovely week ahead. Tomorrow: a conference / get-together with the Creators Alliance in London. Wednesday: my birthday celebrations. Thursday: our Substack live creative salon online. And then the weekend that commemorates what Padraig O’Tuama in Poetry Unbound calls ‘the senseless execution of Jesus of Nazareth by Roman authorities’—and celebrates the symbolic resurrection that followed.

The Republic of Ireland will enjoy the 110th commemoration of the Easter Rising, and around the world Holy Week and Passover rituals, and more ancient celebrations of spring, will lift hearts and minds and souls.

I’m a creativist, not a nationalist or a Christian, a Jew or a pagan—but the themes of spring and uprising and rebirth are central for me.

I’ll be bringing out a book of poems (the fifth in my 12 Poems to Inspire series): Breaking Light: Inspirational Poetry for Easter and other Resurrections.
