This is one of the most promising conservation bills I've seen in many years.

If this ever passes, future Americans may look back on this with the same appreciation we now have for other groundbreaking laws like the Endangered Species Act and Wilderness Act.

The potential for something actually good to happen here is gigantic. But I agree, for this to ever succeed, it will need serious long-term funding and bipartisan support.
