New York reported the first human case of eastern equine encephalitis virus (EEE) since 2015 last week. The case was from Ulster County and the individual is hospitalized.

New York joins Massachusetts, Vermont, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Wisconsin and New Hampshire in reporting human EEE cases this year.
