It's 11:20 and it's a beautiful day outside (we must always be grateful for these spring days). As I think about what I want to write, I hear the gurgling of the moka pot.
And now that I have a good cup of coffee, I can proceed with writing.
Yesterday I finished ‘‘The Goldfinch’’ by Donna Tartt. I felt so many emotions and became very attached to the protagonist. This book reflects a lot on the relationship with art, bonds, independence, and trauma. I am happy to have discovered Donna Tartt's writing.
Donna Tartt is an internationally renowned author who publishes a book every 10 years. In fact, so far, Donna Tartt has only published three books: The Secret History (1992); The Little Friend (2002) and The Goldfinch (2013). I find this incredible, especially nowadays. Donna Tartt meticulously crafts the details, descriptions, and her chapters. Indeed, while reading, I imagined the author writing, rewriting, modifying, or deleting a chapter.
Now I would like to read ‘‘The Secret History’’.
