A few months ago, I wrote about some of the suboptimal ways Gen-Z were parented. The piece resonated with a surprising number of young people, who felt it accurately described their childhood and adolescence. Many of them felt that their physically isolated and digitally overexposed upbringing crushed their sense of self and failed to support them in developing basic life skills necessary to enter adulthood with confidence.
