Hi! I just discovered your substack and am reading through a couple posts. I really like this idea! I wonder how the reverse of "I like you already" could also help. "You like me already...." It's kind of the same and not. Assuming "I like you already" is kind of intertwined with "you like me already," because if we like them, why wouldn't they like us?! But for some folks I think it could be just as powerful to remind oneself before entering into an interaction, that you are ok, and you are worthy of being liked and seen by this other person as well. Maybe what I'm thinking is closer to your daugher's "we're on the same team..." because that implies the support goes in both directions.
