Mantra for March 25 – The Gentle Wonder

“Wonder is the gateway to gratitude.”

I once stood on a hill at sunrise after a long season of loss. The sky opened slowly, light spilling over the horizon. I had spent months letting go—of people, of plans, of the life I thought I would have. That morning, I realized letting go had made room for wonder. I opened my hands and let the light in. It felt vulnerable, yet alive.

Wonder is not childish. It is the adult recognition that the world is still full of things we do not fully understand—beauty, kindness, the persistence of life. It invites us to stand in awe rather than explanation.

Today, practice gentle wonder.

  • Notice one thing today that evokes wonder—a sunrise, a child's laugh, the way a leaf falls.

  • Pause and let yourself feel the awe without needing to explain it.

  • Say inwardly: “I wonder at this.”

  • Allow the feeling to stay open in your chest.

  • At day's end, honor the wonder: “I stood in awe today.”

In gentle wonder, we do not solve life. We celebrate it. And celebration opens the heart wider than any answer ever could.
