Mantra for March 27 – The Quiet Trust
“Trust often grows in silence.”
I once saw a child learning to float in water. At first she clung tightly to the pool’s edge, certain she would sink. Slowly, with encouragement, she leaned back and released her grip. The water held her. What she feared could not hold her had been supporting her all along.
Trust sometimes asks the same gentle release. Not a dramatic leap, but a quiet willingness to loosen our grip on constant control. When we do, we discover that life can support us in ways we could not see while holding so tightly.
Today, practice quiet trust.
Notice where you are gripping tightly—plans, outcomes, expectations.
Take a slow breath and soften your hold.
Allow one situation today to unfold without forcing it.
Observe how the moment carries itself forward.
At day’s end, acknowledge: “Today I practiced trust.”
In releasing our grip, we often discover the support that was already there.
