Mantra for March 29 – The Space Between
“Life breathes in the spaces.”
During a long walk one afternoon, I noticed how music from a nearby café drifted through the air. What made it beautiful was not only the notes, but the pauses between them. Without those spaces, the music would have been noise.
Our days often fill quickly—with tasks, notifications, conversations, movement. Yet meaning tends to emerge in the spaces between activity. A pause before responding. A quiet minute by a window. A breath between responsibilities.
Today, welcome the spaces.
Notice the small pauses that naturally appear in the day.
Resist the urge to immediately fill them with noise or distraction.
Let a few moments remain open—unclaimed, unstructured.
Allow the mind to rest in the quiet that appears.
At day’s end, remember: “Today I made room for space.”
In the spaces we allow, life has room to breathe.
