Mantra for May 6 – The Grace of the Return

“Healing is not a destination, but a direction.”

When a bone heals after a break, the fracture point often becomes the strongest part. But that strength doesn’t come all at once. It’s built slowly—cell by cell, unseen, over time. Healing is not linear; it is a quiet return to wholeness.

Mental health is the same. There is no final moment where everything is “fixed.” There are days of progress and days of slipping back into old patterns. What matters is not perfection, but the willingness to return.

We are not defined by our setbacks, but by our return to what supports us.

Today, practice the return:

  • If you’ve drifted from a healthy habit, return to it without judgment.

  • Notice one small win in your well-being today—no matter how small.

  • Be patient with your timeline; healing cannot be rushed.

  • Release the “all or nothing” mindset—a difficult moment is not a ruined day.

At the end of the day, reflect: “Today I moved toward the light, however slowly.”

We are not defined by how often we fall, but by how gently we return.
