I’ve had FREE AMAZON PRIME for 16 years. It was a great run!

In 2009, a Twitter friend added me to her Amazon Prime account as ‘family’ (allowed to add up to 4). In 2015, Amazon grandfathered this set-up when they created Amazon Family Prime sharing.

Sadly, after 10 years,Amazon ending that sweet, sweet arrangement.

I’m very much anti-billionaire, so I’ve really gotten one helluva kick out of my particular style of Amazon shopping. I mostly do killer Subscribe & Save deals where the price is by far the lowest anywhere, plus some small things that earn me $150ish a year in No Rush Shipping credits to fill my Kindle and music library with for free.

So I’ll take the very generous $15 for my first year of Prime, but that’s it. My mother (we live together half the year) said she’d continue at full price and add me to her account, but unless I lose mobility or Bezos starts behaving more like his ex-wife, I will not be paying $139+ a year for “free shipping”.
