Dachau was not "death camp" either, in the sense that it did not have gas chambers nor was it the site of mass executions.

I studied in Munich for a year, and visited it twice. Visitors were routinely disappointed that there were no gas chambers, and that the whole place was rebuilt for tourists after being torn down after the war.
