The app for independent voices

I am tired of faith being used to justify dehumanization.

Tired of hearing Jesus invoked to harden hearts. Tired of watching religious language make cruelty sound reasonable. Tired of pretending this has nothing to do with how we worship.

Christian nationalism asks the church to choose sides. Jesus asks us to choose neighbors.

One builds identity through fear. The other forms people through love.

The cross does not divide the world into winners and losers. It reveals what violence does to all of us. It exposes the lie that power saves. It shows us a God who would rather be wounded than make enemies disposable.

I do not believe the church is called to dominate. I believe we are called to heal.

That means refusing every story that tells us some lives matter less. It means resisting the urge to feel righteous while others are crushed. It means choosing repair over certainty, compassion over control.

This is slower work. It is harder work. And it looks like Jesus.
