Sometimes I think the church accidentally created a fourth member of the Trinity.
Father. Son. Holy Spirit. …and the Bible.
But the New Testament never says the Bible is the Word of God.
It says Jesus is.
“The Word became flesh.” (John 1:14)
Scripture is sacred. But Scripture is not the destination.
It is the witness pointing to Christ.
And when Christians elevate the Bible above Jesus, strange things happen:
Verses justify cruelty.
Ancient laws silence compassion.
And the character of God begins to look less like Jesus.
The Bible is a gift.
But the center of Christianity has never been a book.
It has always been a person.
