Boys are taught harassment at school

My daughter is ten years old.

She goes to Amsterdam International Community School.

In the last month, a boy in her class has:

• Threatened to stab her with a knife

• Threatened to hit her with a knuckle duster

• Put a sticker on her bike: ‘stop driving like an asshole’ (this after he was warned about the knife threat)

• Hacked her school email account and read all her private messages. Sharing what he’s found with other boys in my daughter’s class.

And so far, this boy is still in school. Where he continues to make my daughter feel unsafe.

This boy is learning that harassment is acceptable. Because the school are allowing him to come in and continue with this harassment.

But this is not acceptable.

And so I’m writing to draw attention to the schools inaction.

No harassment at school.

No harassment full-stop.

I need your help please. Because I don’t know how to protect my daughter when she’s at school if her school won’t do this. Please help me raise the noise to hold the school to account. Like, comment, share. Shout.

This is not acceptable. At work, in society, in school. Anywhere.
