Earl Weaver, manager of the Baltimore Orioles, died on this date in 2013. In parts of 17 seasons he led Baltimore to 16 winning records, a .583 winning percentage, six playoff appearances, four pennants and one World Series title. Weaver was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1996.
