Harry Caray, radio and television announcer mostly for the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs, was born on this date in 1914. He announced Cardinals games from 1945 to 1969 and Cubs games from 1982 to 1997, and won the Ford C. Frick Award from the Hall of Fame in 1989.
