Johnny Logan, shortstop for the Milwaukee Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates, was born on this date in 1926. A four-time All-Star and excellent defensive shortstop, he scored 100 runs in 1953 and led the National League in doubles in 1955. Logan had 1,407 career hits and was on the 1957 World Series winners.
