Early Wynn, pitcher mostly for the Cleveland Indians and Washington Senators, died on this date in 1999. A nine-time All-Star and five-time 20 game winner, he won the Cy Young Award in 1959. Wynn won exactly 300 games in his career, and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1972.
