Al Kaline, outfielder for the Detroit Tigers, died on this date in 2020. An eighteen-time All-Star and ten-time Gold Glove winner, he had 100 RBI three times, won the batting title in 1955, and had 3,007 career hits. Kaline was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1980.
