Dick Williams, manager for six big league teams, including the Red Sox, A’s, Angels, Expos, Padres, and Mariners, was born on this date in 1929. Williams won pennants with three of the six teams he managed, had a .520 winning percentage, won four total pennants and two World Series, and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2008.
