Helen Nicol Fox, pitcher mostly for the Kenosha Comets and Rockford Peaches, was born on this date in 1920. She was the all-time leader in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League in games pitched, wins, innings and strikeouts, and had a career record of 163-118 with a 1.89 ERA. Fox lived to be 101.
