Reggie Jackson, outfielder mostly for the Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees, was born on this date in 1946. A 14-time All-Star, he led the American League in homers four times, was MVP in 1973, and was part of five World Series winners. Jackson hit 563 career homers and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1993.
