The pathless path readers are the best in the world and this makes my life weird

- met a reader who discovered my work over breakfast in Taipei on sabbatical

- met a longtime reader and his wife for dinner exploring places to live abroad with future kids

- got stopped by a random person on the MRT who found out about the Chinese version of my book

- got a lovely message from a reader in Barcelona about my book

And all the while in my day to day I have been feeling a bit stuck in my work.

But I don’t beat myself up. My biggest hope when I started writing early on was that I could meet a handful of people who might become friends. This is far beyond my imagination.
