Write Testing 2 Fountains Pens

I have used fountain pens over many years (going back to school with a Parker Pen) and when I restarted keeping a journal I felt that using a fountain pen was a natural fit.

I bought a Hongdian Matte Black Forest in 2021, which was a good reliable pen for 3 years, but then I spotted a good deal on a Wordsworth & Black Primori with an Extra Fine nib

I bought it in Aug 2024 but within a year the cap fell off and I kept having to stop, unscrew and twist and shake to get the cartridge to flow each day.

Then in Jan 2026, Ellington reached out and asked if I’d review one of their pens. Despite seeing some negative griping about their marketing online, I agreed.

I put the Wordsworth & Black Primori (Extra Fine nib) vs Ellington Stealth (Extra Fine nib).
