The key point is that no other army other than the IDF is expected to contest that moral high ground. For all other Western armies, civilian casualties are priced in to the fight as a given. For no other conflicts other than those involving the Jewish state are civilian casualties used as a metric of success or failure. It is a perfect example of Sharansky’s double standards, that this kind of accounting is expected of Israel and no other country.
